Government To Marines: Stay Longer

Marines stationed in one of Afghanistan’s most dangerous regions, after being repeatedly promised that their tours would not be extended, have had their tours extended. The news was released on the afternoon of July 3, in an attempt to minimize the awfulness of the whole situation.

In other words, the government makes promises to troops which it then about faces on and proceeds to manipulate the information’s release to save their own skin. Brilliant.
