I’m A “Radical Homosexual Activist”

Good news everybody! Kevin McCullough has just labeled me a radical homosexual activist. Hooray! I assume that I’ll be getting my rainbow flag, my best of Broadway CD collection, and a visit from Bernadette Peters.
(I frequently argue that social conservatives are morons. This would be fuel for that particular fire. I’m not entirely sure how believing that gays deserve the sort of treatment that straights get makes me a “radical homosexual activist.” More like a “decent human being.”)

Actual homosexuals welcome fellow radical activists who desire the infamous homosexual agenda of monogamous long term relationships, single family home ownership and raising children. All to convert the American flag to rainbow stripes, the national anthem to a techno remix, and, of course, daily visits from homosexual fashion advocates to the poor straight office workers who SRSLY need a little pizazz in their lives.
Stiletto kisses!

[…] The problem with that peace is that it is easily shattered. Take someone like Kevin McCullogh, who, in the course of branding my buddy Sam a radical homosexual activist for daring to think gays deserve equal treatment in society, goes off on a rant about how we gays all choose who it is we like to sleep with, and it’s all a big liberal plot to destroy America and the family. […]

I too am a radical homosexual activist, despite my rather pedestrian heterosexuality.
I do enjoy tearing Kevin a new asshole, however. Does that make me gay?

[…] I don’t know why I feel compelled to poke and prod at Libertarians after a decision like this, except that it is worthless to criticize social conservatives (”The Baby Jesus hated gay people and we all know it!”) nor celebrate with pro-gay-marriage activists like myself, I guess. So instead, I turn a suspicious eye toward those who insist that it isn’t that they’re against gay marriage - they’re against government involvement in marriage altogether. […]

[…] McCullough, in other words, does not seem much value to the Musclehead value that perfectly reasonable, rational, moral individuals can look at identical information yet arrive at different solutions. And he does this in the name of Jesus. This prompted him to label friends like Sam Wilkinson “radical homosexual activists” because he thinks gays are just as equally entitled to monogamous long-term relationships, single-family home ownership, and child-rearing as are straights (in this case, about Mary Cheney, of all people). Radicalism, it seems, does not easily inform moral clarity. […]

There actually is a Radical Homosexual Agenda group (http://www.radicalhomosexualagenda.org/)
They’re opposed to that gay marriage thing, and the exploitation of privilege. Not so into family home ownership. The Cristian Right and “liberals” often tend to miss the radical queer movements when talking about gay rights. main-stream gay rights organizations are NOT radical homosexuals, straight folks who support gay marriage are NOT radical homosexual activists

Oh, and we don’t all listen to Broadway
