The National Times Is Absolute Trash

When I woke up this morning, this trash was bound and thrown on my front porch. Some idiot in my neighborhood apparently thinks that me and my neighbors are interested in white supremacist literature. The group that publishes this nonsense - the American Nationalist Union - sells copies of its newspaper to its supporters, who go around leaving copies on everybodys’ front porches.
This isn’t the first time I’ve run into people who believe this sort of nonsense. In college, a colleague of mine accidentally ran an advertisement from a committee supporting open debate of the Holocaust. Because, y’know, the Holocaust is up for debate…if you’re anti-Semitic. I’m not.

There is a lot to hate with this newspaper. Its sports coverage is one good reason. Offering “pro-white” coverage, Caste Football is ludicrous bullshit. It praises schools for recruiting predominantly white kids. This sort of thing is ugly beyond all reason.

Hilariously, it refers to Americans who don’t believe in its own goals as “sheeple.” It’s the worst of leftist and rightist literature, the most base and pathetic. What’s odd is that racists and bigots and anti-Semites and homophobes are the sheeps being lead around by a few weak leaders who possess nothing but fear to make their points. Nothing. But. Fear.

When you’ve got nothing but fear, you’ve got literally nothing else. Which leads to headlines like this one: Are Jews The Aztecs of Yore?

But what of this? What of a sitting Congressman’s editorials being published in this trash? I’ve called Congressman Ron Paul’s office, and emailed for a response. I somehow doubt that I’ll get one.
[...] Sam picked up on what I really love: politicians I would otherwise respect showing up in white supremecist newspapers! Of course, we don’t know the circumstances of how his byline (and column, which is published in full on his House webpage, and appears to be syndicated) wound up in that racist rag. But even the appearance of a Republican from Texas having positive associations with these people is… well, politically daft. [...]
You should really be more open to other points of view, if not for you then for your daughter. Instead of trying to tear others down try to begin a dialogue to help heal any hurt that may have been inflicted. You’ve got a friend in Jesus.
They can publish whatever they want, this is of no consequence. For those of us who know and love the congressman, it would be quite a stretch to connect him with anything racist.
Other than their white supremacy leanings, this groups seems to be correct about dumbing down of the schools, the sheeple under Bush, etc. It’s just that they take it a step too far with the white thing…which no one really accepts. Really these folks are such a minority why bother with them?
This also could be a phony paper with the intent of turning people against the congressman, like they did to Pat B when they knew he was going to win NH…a subtle attack to connect him with something nefarious. Pat won anyway.
Your buddy’s title on his blog about this issue, helps to perpetuate this trash and insinuates that the congressman approves of this. Your buddy’s blog could be consider libelous.
Having said that I am sick and tired of people accusing others of being racists just because they believe in sovereignty of the country by way of having borders, just like any other country. It’s a false argument. I’m a minority and I came here legally as did all my relatives. It’s an old liberal attack method to control a person’s mind with PC language.
It’s those people you ought to be exposing…not questioning why a piece of writing is in some marginal newspaper that no one ever heard of until you printed it. Since it’s on YOUR website, we might have to question what YOU believe.
okay, so “Other than their white supremacy leanings, this groups seems to be correct” is the new “But Hitler made the trains run on time!”
[...] The CCC love this man. They even “occasionally publish” him in their “newsletter, the Citizens Informer (warning: PDF).”. Ron Paul has a history of publishing his works through a range of far right hate organizations: And then there’s David Duke, who can’t get enough of Ron Paul; you can find his columns on davidduke.com here and here and here and here and here. If you’re more of a dead-tree fan, you can find Paul’s thoughts on foreign policy reprinted in the January 2007 issue of the National Times, a white supremacist newspaper that apparently gets distributed through the time-honored neo-Nazi method of throwing the thing onto unsuspecting people’s porches in the middle of the night and scurrying away. [...]
[...] Ron Paul is published in white supremacist newspapers:See here [...]
So if Nationalist Times said that drinking clean water is good, you’d disagree? Or if they think murder is criminal, you’d disagree? Why is it wrong to be written or mentioned in a racist paper?
Here are a few comments…
1) How could a historical event not be subject to historical discussion?
Are the details not important?
2)
Castefootball, (FYI) often has some insightful discussions
such as using real NFL combine statistics to compare the disparities
between whites actual combine stats and their prospect rankings
in the sports media (quite often undervalued). For example, Mike
Haas wonthe NCAA’s wide receiver of the year award, had excellent
stats and records in the PAC 10 and was drafted super-low in the NFL
draft a couple of years ago.
Also, they discuss how simply because the Heavyweight division seems to
be dominated by Boxers from the former soviet union it is often referred to as a weak division by the mainstream press, while lighter weight divisions w/ more non-whites are described as being deeper divisions.
3) Facts are what matter, dispute the facts. Was Ron’s article bad because
it appeared in a certain paper, or is it bad on the merits.
